how copious connections are near contained by the human brain?
The human brain contains about 50 billion to 200 billion neurons (nobody know how many for sure), respectively of which interfaces with 1,000 to 100,000 other neurons through 100 trillion (10^14) to 10 quadrillion (10^16) synaptic junction.
Cranial nerves are nerves that emerge directly from the brain in contrast to spinal nerves which emerge from segment of the spinal cord. Although thirteen cranial nerves in humans fit this description, twelve are conventionally predictable. The nerves from the third onward arise from the brain stem. Except for the tenth and the eleventh bottle, they primarily serve the motor and sensory systems of the head and nouns region.
If you're really intereted in this subject, read In Search of Memory by Eric Kandell, a Nobel Prize beater. Great read!
