How long does penicillin stay surrounded by the body, or contained by your system?
From the time that you take the dose and it doesn't event how many doses you hold previously taken (if you have taken them as prescribed), I assume you show a penicillin VK tablet, it takes approx. 30 min to 1 hour to manage peak rank in your blood, it afterwards has a 30 min partially life removal rate. so if you take 500 mg at right to be heard noon, by 1pm (pretending it have a 100% absorption which it doesn't, it have a 60 to 73 % absorption but to brand name the math easier lets pretend it does) you hold peak level; by 1:30 your levels drop to 250, by 2:00 your level are 125, 2:30 62.5, 3:00 31.25, 3:30 15.625.ect so by 6pm you will be ready for your subsequent dose...which is why it is given every 6 hours. If you have renal (kidney) impairment it take longer for the drug to be eliminated from your system so it can also be given every 8 hours. It still won't exterminate any other drugs from your system.(in reference to your other question)
